Terms of Service
These terms cover your subscription to ByteRoute. They are written to be read once, in plain language, rather than skimmed and ignored.

1. Who these terms are with
This agreement is between ORDERLINE AU (ABN 57 534 015 650), a business registered in Victoria which operates the ByteRoute service, and the business subscribing to that service. By subscribing, you confirm you are authorised to bind your business.
2. What we provide
ByteRoute answers telephone calls to a number you nominate, takes food orders using the menu you configure, and delivers those orders to your kitchen dashboard. The service includes the dashboard, SMS receipts and menu management as described on your plan.
3. Plans, allowances and billing
- Subscriptions start at $299 per shop per month, plus a one-off $600 setup fee. All amounts are in Australian dollars.
- We are not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged on these fees and the amounts above are the total payable. If we become registered we will give you notice before GST is added.
- Each plan includes a monthly call allowance. Calls beyond the allowance are billed at the overage rate set out in your order form, or we will contact you about moving to a larger plan.
- Fees are billed monthly in advance. The setup fee is charged once, when your account is created.
- We may change pricing with 30 days’ written notice. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
4. No lock-in
Subscriptions run month to month. You may cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice, effective at the end of your current billing period. We do not refund the unused portion of a month, and the setup fee is not refundable once onboarding has begun.
If you cancel, we will assist you in porting your telephone number away at no additional charge.
5. Your telephone number
Where you ask us to port an existing number, you warrant that you are entitled to do so and that the account with your current carrier is in good standing. Porting timeframes are set by the carriers and are outside our control. Your existing service continues to operate until the port completes.
6. Your menu and your obligations
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of your menu, prices, allergen information and trading hours. The system quotes what you configure; it cannot know that an item is wrong.
- Fulfilling orders the system accepts, and dealing directly with your customers about them.
- Ensuring call recording, if you enable it, is lawful where you operate, and that your own privacy notices reflect it.
- Keeping your dashboard credentials secure.
7. Availability
We aim for 99.5% monthly availability, excluding scheduled maintenance notified in advance and outages caused by carriers or other upstream providers. Where your plan includes a service level agreement, the remedies in that SLA are your exclusive remedy for downtime.
If the service is unavailable, calls to your number fail over to your nominated fallback line. You should keep that fallback number current.
8. What the AI does and does not guarantee
ByteRoute uses automated speech recognition and language models. It is accurate for the overwhelming majority of calls, but it is not infallible: it may mishear an item, or transfer a call it cannot complete. You accept that the service is an aid to taking orders, not a guarantee that every order is captured perfectly, and you remain responsible for confirming orders with customers where it matters.
9. Data
Your menu, order records and call data remain yours. We handle them as set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your data or your customers’ data to train AI models. On termination, we will provide an export of your order history on request within 30 days, after which we delete it except where law requires retention.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use ByteRoute to make or receive unsolicited marketing calls, to impersonate another business, or for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend the service immediately if we reasonably believe it is being used this way.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Subject to the above, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate the service if fees remain unpaid 14 days after they fall due, or if you materially breach these terms and do not remedy the breach within 14 days of written notice.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
